The store’s origins can be traced back to 1970, when Anita Roddick visited "The Body Shop" housed in a car repairs garage in Berkeley selling naturally-scented soaps and lotions. Six years later, Roddick opened a similar shop in the UK, using the same business name and cosmetic lines. The Body Shop’s St Nicholas Centre store has an extensive range of skin and hair products for men and women. They also have a large selection of cosmetics and gift sets. Open from 9am - 6pm Monday to Saturday and till 8pm on Thursdays, The Body Shop strives to source all products ethically.
